You are here: Sony Online Entertainment and LucasArts today announced the launch of the first installment in the online Star War Galaxies Trading Card Game: Championship of the Force.
“Available to both current and former Star Wars Galaxies subscribers, the Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game provides players an entirely new gameplay experience by combining the challenge of a trading card game with the adventures and community of the massively multiplayer game, reads today's press release.
The game itself allows players to choose to build a deck using characters from either the light or dark side of the force. Anyone with paid Star Wars Galaxies accounts will automatically receive five Booster Packs each month at no charge,
More than 250 virtual cards are currently available for collecting, swg credits each featuring “beautifully detailed original Star Wars¬ artwork depicting scenes from the story-based solo mode.”
